Description
Ladies and gentlemen, guys and gals, "chiquitines y chiquitinas" I have the pleasure honor to show you the finish of this Gundam girl , finally here are the famous "final photos" which we have promised .
In the end we decided to make a full customization of this model and Melissa become this Gundam girl .
Oh boy, this was quite a journey, from the millimetric assembly, recolor the pieces with acrylic paint, varnish the whole model, and of course, recreate Melissa's head and hair with paper strips and color gradients, this was exciting and fun (but I'll not deny that also took me to the limit of my skills and my sanity ).
Fun facts:
The model only has 20 templates for print (we only use 18 1/2)
It's printed on opaline paper 125gr 2 pages per sheet, adjusted to letter size.
Used about 70 ml of white glue for assembly
Used 15 ml of cold silicon to join some pieces
Used 1ml of instant glue (cyanoacrylate) to give firmness
Varnishing by hand, using matte and glossy varnish
60% of the model is hand painted with acrylic paint
5 months of starting, more than 60 hours cutting pieces, more than 300 hours to build pieces, about 70 hours of joining pieces, almost 30 hours of painting and varnish, 25 hours for the final assembly and adjustments, countless blows to the wall. And added 36 more hours to complete the details of the head (including hair and painting). Making a total of approximately 530 hours of work!!!
The head is movable, the entire remaining body is fixed.
Throughout the assembly process I just lost a piece, but was never used anyway (along with many extra pieces of hair and head ).
Here you can see more views and references of this great model designed by Romi .

Well, this was MarcGo26 request made me since he won my last Kiriban . I hope you liked this model and thank you very much for following this project .
And thank you very much for the feedback and encouragement from all of you who were looking forward to the development of this project . As always, questions and comments are welcome (and it better be before I forget details of this assembly )
See you soon on new and exciting projects ...
Keep papercrafting and may your blades never lose sharp!
